  • Maori Cultural performance
  • Rotorua City
  • Sheep and Farm Show
  • Sheep shearing
  • Stunning views from the Skyline Gondola

We start by departing from the Port of Tauranga, where we pick you up directly from your cruise ship, before travelling along the local coastal beaches, through to the township of 'Te Puke' where we firstly stop at the Kiwifruit Country Store to see and learn all about the Kiwi-fruit industry.

Then we continue our travels through New Zealand farmland, native bush & forestry, past the stunning Rotorua Lakes, into Rotorua itself. From here you get to see the 3 best Top Rated Attractions in New Zealand's tourism capital of Rotorua.

Arriving at Rotorua's only Living Maori Village, Whakarewarewa, you will first be treated to a Maori Cultural Performance show, dance and songs. After the show you will be captivated by the geothermal sights of the two largest Geysers in the Southern Hemisphere, the Hot Boiling Spring Pools, and the Bubbling Hot Mud. You've seen the photos, now see it with your own eyes. Be sure to have your camera ready! See how the Maori people use the natural geothermal wonders for cooking and bathing. Be amazed at how the Maori people live today in this unique landscape and environment.

Next we drive to the gates of Skyline Rotorua where we ride up the Gondola to the very top and Skyline restaurant. This attraction is like no other view in the Rotorua, overlooking Rotorua city itself, Lake Rotorua, and the surrounding Geothermal areas. Here we stop for lunch [your cost] Should you wish to skip lunch, then have a go at the Luge rides. We can ensure you can still fit this in on request.

Leaving Skyline Rotorua we head to another of NZ's must-see attractions - The Agrodome, set in 350 acres of fertile farmland. Take your seat for the legendary world-famous Agrodome Sheep and Farm Show. Such a fun packed hour - you will find yourself laughing at this entertaining show as you are introduced to 19 breeds of Sheep, witness live Sheep shearing, and see the talent of the farm dogs.

We then return to Tauranga by an alternative inland scenic route, through forests and farm land, deep gorges and finally across the Tauranga Harbour to rejoin your ship.

Please note that we require a minimum of 6 persons to operate this tour, if there are less than 6 persons booked on the day of the tour then we will offer you our Rotorua Highlights tour with a refund of the cost difference to you.

Will we have time for lunch at one of the locations?

Yes we try and give you 30 minutes at one of the locations, usually at the Skyline Rotorua where you can visit their cafe which has a good range of hot and cold snacks.

The tour starts at 0830 but our ship does not arrive in port until after 9am.

The "usual" time for this tour is 0830 to 1630 but as the cruise ships often change their times of arrival we adjust the tour start and end time to suit. If your ship arrives too late for you to meet us by 0830, then please get off the ship as soon as you can [may need to be pushy with the ship crew] and meet us as soon as you can. Please note that we aim to be back at least 30 minutes before the ships sailing time and if your ship is departing before 1700 then we will start the tour earlier that 0830, so please come of the ship early [suggest 0730] so we can update you on the tour start time. You can also contact us by email or phone the day prior to confirm details.
