Experience 30 minutes of adrenalin pumping action on Lake Rotorua that includes the iconic thrills and spills of New Zealand adventure Jet boating.
Not only will we thrill and spill you but our drivers will provide commentary on some of Rotorua's iconic landmarks and history...this is the very best way to experience our unpredictable and beautiful Lake Rotorua and this awesome trip is available for all ages and under 5's ride for free.
New Zealand's Jet boating history dates back to 1953 when Sir William Hamilton invented the world renowned Hamilton Jet. Soon after, in the summer of 1960, Kawarau Jet was born in Queenstown, becoming the world's first commercial Jet boat operation.
For over 40 years we have shown holidaymakers from all around the world how exhilarating Jet boating can be at the Kawarau Jet Queenstown operation, owned and operated by Shaun & Sally Kelly.
With such a successful history it was decided that the same experience could and should be enjoyed by visitors to the North Island's cultural adventure capital Rotorua, so we now have the Rotorua operation which is owned and operated by Shaun's brother and sister in law Ross & Fiona Kelly.
We operate three purpose built jet boats and for the last five years we have been using high octane biofuel containing 10% bioethanol. All our boats use the tried and trusted Hamilton 212 jet units.
It will be trip to remember!
